Branching Out
This week I was pondering how to introduce this blog. I tested ideas on sharing powerful stories of ministry, sermon reflections and Biblical wisdom. Yet, I was drawn to the strong connections made during community groups this week. Community is a necessary part of our faith in Jesus. We should remain curious about faith in action as the Body of Christ: fulfillment of prayers in healing, new purpose, friendships and more. Also, in tougher seasons of life it is through community that we conquer the trials and tests. We glean hope from our neighbors’ vulnerability in sharing and thus strengthen our faith walk.
3 Ways We Saw Community Manifested This Week:
- Sharing of life stories with strangers
- Active listening and supportive affirmations
- Encouraging words about improving Biblical literacy
As we end every Sunday sermon, GO AND BE THE CHURCH!
